WE ARE LOOKING AHEAD AND SO CAN YOU. SAFARI INCENTIVES WILL BE ALL THE RAGE. OPEN SPACES, EXCLUSIVE USE, SUPER-LUXE AND EXPERIENCES TO LAST A LIFETIME.

If you haven’t been on Safari, you have to go. If you have been on safari, you have to go again. A safari incentive delivers on so many levels but there are so many different countries, reserves and lodges to choose from, where do you start? Well a good place to start would be to speak to us. At Ulterior, we consider ourselves as experts. We have been to all the game reserves detailed below and have visited, stayed at and inspected a wide range of lodges and seen an abundance of rooms. We understand the mechanics of a safari and how to get the best out of them for incentive groups.

With new factors governing the decision process, safari destinations bring with them a checklist that satisfies the new norm. Open spaces, fresh air, exclusive use properties and more animals than people. Coupled with luxury beyond parallel, wonderful service, dinners in the middle of no-where and the chance to get up close and personal with The Big Five, spend some time with a Gorilla family in Rwanda or take a morning balloon over the annual migration in Kenya, makes safari incentives high on the list of “go to” incentives. We’ve been  there, seen that, done that, and you should too.

MasiMara

MASAI MARA

The Masai Mara is one of nature’s biggest stages, where a cast of 1000’s play out a daily show with the annual Wildebeest migration the biggest performance of all. Welcomed with a cold glass of fizz as you step off your charter straight into the reserve, you are swept off to luxury tented accommodation at Bateleur Camp, Governors’ Camp or Little Governors’ Camp, to name a few. Private dinners in the middle of nowhere, early morning balloon flights with a Champagne breakfast in the open Mara Reserve or just sitting on your veranda as a herd stroll by are just some of the wonders to behold in this fabulous incentive experience.

SabiSabi

SABI SABI

The Earth Lodge at Sabi Sabi is a haven of peace and tranquility disturbed only by nature’s soundtrack that plays loud and clear throughout your stay. Perfect for buy-outs with twelve extraordinary suites and the extraordinary Amber Suite for that very Top Performer. The suites all face out directly onto the Sabi plains with unparalleled views from dawn to dusk. The suites are all built into the natural surroundings and offer complete privacy from human eyes. What’s got their eyes on you from the game reserve is a completely different story!

Rwanda 2

RWANDA

There are moments in life where time stands still. One hour with the mountain gorillas in Rwanda feels like a lifetime. An incentive “experience”? It’s more than words can describe. If you want an incentive experience like no other, then time with these beautiful creatures has very little competition. A breath-taking helicopter transfer over the Rwandan mountains, a trek with Golden Monkeys or a seat at the beautiful naming ceremony where the years’ newborns are named in a hugely significant and cultural ceremony play a fabulous supporting cast to the main event. A trip of a lifetime? Most certainly.

RoyalLivingstone

ROYAL LIVINGSTONE, ZAMBIA

The minute you walk onto one of the verandas at the wonderful Royal Livingstone Hotel with a glass of chilled Champagne in hand, you only have to look to your left and it’s there, one of the seven natural wonders of the world as your backdrop for a few days. The Victoria Falls have to be seen to be believed. There are some extraordinary experiences to indulge a group. Rafting down the Zambezi to an elephant sanctuary, a sunset river cruise watching pods of hippos bask in the late afternoon sun, helicopters through the gorge and the Falls experience itself – walking up close and personal is something that you will never forget.

Chobe

CHOBE NATIONAL PARK

Chobe National Park is quite beautiful. From the moment you enter the gates, and head to Chobe Game Lodge the scale becomes apparent. Home to the largest population of elephants on the planet, the plains of the Chobe River are awash with spectacular wildlife. The Lodge is a haven of tranquillity sitting alongside the river. With electric vehicles for land safaris and electric boats for river cruises, the peace is never interrupted. Whole herds of elephants playing on the riverbank, a multitude of crocodiles basking in the sunshine or hippos battling over a waterhole are just a few of the daily joys and sightings in Chobe.

Shamwari

SHAMWARI GAME RESERVE

Shamwari Game reserve is a luxury safari destination in South Africa Eastern Cape Province. It has an eclectic mix of deluxe accommodation lodges, all of which can be taken exclusively for private groups. The scenery is spectacular and the wildlife is abundant. Shamwari is a wonderful safari location and can be incorporated very easily into an incentive to Cape town (via a short flight to Port Elizabeth). This makes for a fabulous programme seeing some of the most spectacular sights that the Southern coast has to offer.
