THE BRIEF
To replace an annual skiing event with a “skiing” party in London! Something that people wanted to attend and gave them a unique experience. An event that featured entertainment that aligned with Coors including comedy and DJs and an experience that was a WOW from start to conclusion. It had to be Coors all the way.
The Solution:
A floating ski lodge with an après ski atmosphere, comedy and a legendary DJ to keep the party pumping. So how did we do it? The guests arrived at their London hotels to check-in and find ski hats, their ski pass and a few cold Coors in the fridge. The evening started on the quay side of the Thames where drinks where served, the furniture was adorned with fake skins and furs and Coors branding throughout. Canapes and cold Coors was served to the guests before they made their way to the main event.
The top deck of the Silver Sturgeon had been turned into an après ski bar with bespoke branding, ski props, fake snow and a white snow carpet. The Coors bar served the guests while we sailed down the Thames taking in the sights and sounds of London. The guests were called into the “lodge” downstairs which had been dressed in fake skins, woolly cushions and had some great branding throughout. The evening kicked off with “The Noise next door”, an improv comedy act that had the crowd in stitches. Food was then served – all with an Alpine theme. Lots of hearty beef bourguignon, a sumptuous lasagne and cheesy chips.
After food was enjoyed, the headline act appeared – out of nowhere. Standing on the side of the Thames, lit up by a single spotlight was legendary DJ Judge Jules. The boat docked so he could jump in board, plug in and get the party started. A proper boat party; a wide range of Molson Coors drinks, great food, top DJ and all inside a floating ski lodge. The evening concluded the only way a “day on the slopes” can – a creamy hot chocolate on the quayside.
