THE BRIEF

A three night customer incentive for 80 couples. The destination had to offer both city and sea with a programme that combined a good balance of group activities and time at leisure, finishing with a gala dinner with a spectacular view.

Day one

On arrival into Dubrovnik, guests were welcomed to the Valamar Dubrovnik President Hotel with an ice-cold beer or two while overlooking the crystal-clear Adriatic Sea. Whilst soaking in the sunshine, guests enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch on a private terrace with the islands around Dubrovnik as a perfect backdrop, before heading to their rooms to settle in. The group headed into the truly extraordinary old town for a guided stroll to an 11th Century former monastery, which was the exclusive setting for their welcome dinner. The open air courtyard, the blue sky above, live music to walk into and a glass of Champagne made this a very memorable first night venue. Croatian cuisine and wines were served for the group to enjoy before most headed into the Old Town to enjoy the (very late) night life.

Day Two

The group started their day with a chance to walk the spectacular city walls that give you a full 360 degree view, overlooking the ancient old town. With beautiful glimpses of the lively squares, impressive fortresses and the hidden narrow streets of Dubrovnik, this is an unmissable experience. The group then made their way to the Old Town Harbour to board the impressive ‘Karaka’, a 14th century replica merchant ship to set sail around the city walls and the islands around Dubrovnik. Any Game of Thrones fans out there? The ship featured heavily in the show and was a fabulous, exclusive experience for the group. The bar was open and flowing, and the buffet was sumptuous. The sail ended in the seaside town of Cavtat where the group had the chance to unwind and relax in this charming town. An evening drinks reception at the hotel by the sea, followed by a private beach BBQ, was enjoyed by all, and as the sun set and the wine flowed, everyone looked back on a wonderful day in Dubrovnik.

Day Three

Guests had the day to experience Dubrovnik at leisure. There is so much to see and do, and whilst some strolled the old town, some took a guided tour and many just enjoyed the comforts and the spectacular views at the hotel. A dip in the pool, a lunch on the terrace and a swim in the sea was a popular choice! The final night gala dinner was dinner was held in the open air on a fortress rooftop. The guests drank Champagne and were treated to a glorious sunset over the golden rooftops of the Old Town as they took their seats. The wine was flowing, the food was flawless and the singers mirrored this magnificent setting. A truly memorable last night in Dubrovnik.
